Yale Euro Turn Cylinder

The Yale Security 6 pin Euro profile cylinder is a convenient everyday locking solution. Tested to the British Standard BS EN1303:2005 the cylinder is suitable as a replacement product on PVCu, wood and composite doors that require a standard level of security. If you moved into a new house, lost your keys or suspect someone else has access to a copy of your key, a replacement cylinder can be fitted in minutes without any specialist tools or equipment.

Maintenance and care of your Yale cylinder - Yale recommend regular lubrication of your Yale cylinder locks to ensure continuous trouble free performance and operation.

For this we recommend using a PTFE based lubricant. A small amount of lubricant should be applied to the key and then inserted into the cylinder. Rotate the key a couple of times in line with the normal locking function. Remove the key from the cylinder and wipe away and remaining lubricant to ensure it isn't transferred onto other objects.

Available in Polished Brass and Nickel Plated finish

How to measure your cylinder

It's important you choose the right size cylinder for your door, so it fits properly.

  • Open your door and measure from the centre M5 screw on the side of the door, to the edge of your existing cylinder on the inside of your door. This is the 'B' measurement. For example, this might be 40mm.
  • Then, measure from the centre M5 screw to the edge of your existing cylinder on the outside of your door. This is the 'A' measurement.  For example, this might be 50mm
  • Put these two measurements together to get the right size - your B measurement goes first e.g. 40/50.
  • You can now choose your selected colour finish - Brass or Nickel.
