On Sunday 12th July, the winner of the prestigious "Shed of the Year" competition was annouced on Channel 4's Amazing Spaces: Shed of the Year.
The successful shed was an old hen house with a gin distillery, farm shop and ladies' waiting room. The shed surpassed all competition and beat over 2,500 entrants.
The former outhouse is in Aviemore, Scottish Highlands, and was transformed by Walter Micklethwait, 36, into a brilliant party venue.
Inshriach Distillery has four rooms including: a saloon, a general store farm shop, a ladies' waiting room with a piano and arm chairs and a bar.
The shed beat 2,520 other entries to win the prestigious title, including a mobile miniature railway wagon, a floating beach hut and a corrugated cottage which was used by land girls during the Second World War.
We know that your shed is loved like no other, even if it was not crowned "Shed of the Year"! However, it's still just as important to protect your shed and its contents. 5000 British gardens are targetted by thieves every year, so keep your items safe by securing with padlocks, hasps and cables.
Do you have a lawn mower or expensive power tools? Use a cable and anchor to protect these items in your shed and reduce the risk of opportunistic theft.
