The Yale Sync Smart Home Alarm is now fully compatible with Amazon Alexa’s smart home skills, allowing users to control their home security in an easier and more convenient way.
Voice commands such as, ‘Alexa, arm my alarm’ and ‘Alexa, is my alarm armed?’ will allow users to control their Yale smart alarm system from Amazon Alexa enabled device, such as Amazon Echo.
For added security purposes, the option to disarm will require users to use a secure ‘voice PIN’, before the disarm command is executed.
The alarm skill also allows users to check the status of smart locks as well as control smart plugs from the Yale range of Smart Living products.
Spoken commands and instructions are transforming the way we interact with everyday objects. This new collaboration adds convenience for busy lifestyles and will provide homeowners with added reassurance that their property is secure.
Commenting on the addition of the Yale Sync Smart Home Alarm integration, Stephen Roberts, Marketing Manager at Yale UK said: “We are delighted to work in cooperation with Amazon Alexa to make securing our customers' homes even easier. Voice control brings an added level of convenience for homeowners, making everyday life that little bit simpler. We look forward to working closely with Amazon in the future.”
