Yale Announces Important Update to Yale View Ecosystem

Yale has announced an update regarding the future of its Yale View ecosystems, including compatible products, accessories and mobile applications. 

As part of the ongoing evolution of Yale's smart home portfolio, Yale will gradually phase out the legacy platform while continuing to support existing customers for several years. 

Yale View products will reach End of Sales on 31 December 2026. Existing customers can continue using their products as normal and will continue to receive support in line with Yale's published support timelines.

No Immediate Action Required

Customers currently using Yale View products do not need to take any immediate action. 

Existing products will remain operational and supported for several years, providing customers with ample time to plan for the future and explore alternative solutions within Yale's growing smart home portfolio. 

Yale remains committed to supporting customers throughout this transition and will continue to provide updates and assistance as required. 

Key Dates

Until 31 December 2026 

Customers can continue to purchase Yale View products and accessories where available. 

After this date: 

  • Sales of Yale View products and associated accessories will cease. 

  • No new Yale View products will be introduced. 

  • No new hardware or firmware features will be developed for the Yale View ecosystem. 

Until 31 December 2028 

Customers will continue to receive: 

  • Security updates 

  • Software patches 

  • Bug fixes 

  • Technical support 

1 January 2029 to 31 December 2030 

  • Yale View products and the Yale View app will continue to operate and be supported. 

  • Support will be limited to critical security updates only. 

From 1 January 2031 

  • The Yale View app will be discontinued. 

  • Yale will no longer provide security updates, bug fixes, maintenance releases or technical support for the Yale View ecosystem. 

Product Availability

While Yale View products will reach End of Sales on 31 December 2026, some existing products may continue to be available through Yale webshops and retail partners while stocks last. 

Yale also intends to maintain availability of key accessories and replacement components for the foreseeable future, subject to stock availability.

As Yale continues to invest in smart home solutions, customers are encouraged to explore the Yale Home ecosystem, which brings together Yale's latest smart security innovations within a single app experience. 

The Yale Home ecosystem includes: 

  • Smart Alarms

  • Indoor and Outdoor Cameras 

Designed to work seamlessly together, the Yale Home app gives users greater control, convenience and peace of mind through a unified smart home platform.
