How to install and setup the Yale Smart Indoor Camera
In the Yale Home app, go to the settings menu (accessed by pressing the small gear icon) for each Yale Smart Camera.
Scroll down to installation guides to view the in-app videos and images that show you to mount your cameras.

Which application should I use with the Yale Smart Indoor Camera?
Yale Home is the application to use on your mobile phone.
The app is available on Apple App Store or Google Play.
Download the Yale App from the App Store or Google Play depending on your device.
Once you have downloaded the Yale Home app, you will need to click on 'Create an account'.
You can also sign in if you already have an account.
Does the Yale Smart Indoor Camera need to be connected to Wi-Fi?
Yes, the camera only works when connected to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network.
It is not compatible with 5GHz Wi-Fi networks.
What subscription services are available?
Cloud recording: Video is captured & automatically routed to a secure cloud server, where is it saved for 30 days.
AI Motion Detection: Advanced AI-based camera analytics enables the cameras to differentiate between the motion of:
People, pets, vehicles and delivery packages in real-time.
The user can choose to enable or disable notifications when motion is detected from these groups.

Everyday Use
How would I play back video event footage?
All event footage is displayed in your Yale Home app's Activity feed. Scroll to the date and time, select the video and play.
Is it possible to adjust the video clip length when motion detection is detected?
Yes. In your Yale Home app, go to House Settings >Select your camera settings>Video settings>clip length.
You can adjust between 10- 60 seconds using the slider.
Where can I access the live view from my Yale Smart Indoor Camera?
If you have added the camera to your favourites screen you can view the live footage instantly from here, by pressing on the camera you want to view.
Alternatively, you can access the live view by selecting the camera feed you want to view from the camera list page.
Troubleshooting
My Yale Smart Indoor Camera will not connect to my Wi-Fi network
Please make sure that your router is using 2.4GHz frequency.
Yale Smart Cameras do not support 5Ghz Wi-Fi networks.
I have forgotten my user / account password to the Yale Home app?
You can reset your password in the app by choosing the Forgot Password function on the login screen.

How do I perform a hardware reset of the Yale Smart Indoor Camera?
A hardware reset returns the Yale Smart Indoor Camera back to Factory settings, but maintains the existing registration to a users account.
On the back of Yale Smart Indoor Camera you will find a button,
press and hold that button for approximately 12 seconds until you hear a bleep sound, you can then release the button.
The camera LED will follow a sequence of solid red, red/green flashing and finally a constant blinking green,
this indicates that the camera has successfully reset and re-booted.

Where can I find the QR-code to scan when setting up the Yale Smart Indoor Camera?
The QR code is on the base on the camera.
How many video clips can be stored in the local storage in the Yale Smart Indoor Camera?
As a guide, the Smart Indoor Camera has approximately 3-4 days of video storage if set to 720p & 20 clips per day, 10 seconds long if set to 1080p
What is the function of the button on the back of the Yale Smart Indoor Camera?
The button can initiate a restart or a factory reset.
For a factory reset: press the button until a sound (approx 12 seconds) is heard makes a factory reset of the camera.
For a restart: press the button on the rear of the camera for one second then release, the camera LED will glow red followed by a flashing GREEN led once the restart is successful.
