Getting Started
How do I add devices on my HSA 6400 Alarm?
Please see the images below for more instructions:
Step 1
Press PR enter your pincode and press tick.
Step 2
Scroll down to devices and press tick.
Step 3
Press tick on add device
Step 4
The screen will prompt you to press the button on the device you want to add – please go and press the button, then it will be registered on the screen
Step 5
Now, choose the setting you want it to be on (burglar, home omit or entry) and press tick
Step 6
Then it will ask you to name the device (if you don’t want to name the device just press tick if you want to name the device use the number pad to do so)
Step 7
The screen should say installed ok and then press tick.
How do I dial in or test the dialler function on my control panel?
Dial out test:
To test the dial-out feature ensure the control unit is plugged into the landline (This must be a paid for landline connection).
Press PR button or the button with the 3 lines, enter your pin code, press tick.
Scroll down to tel settings and press tick.
Scroll down to test report press tick.
Tick on the number you want a test call to go to (One of up to 3 you have added).
You can cancel this by pressing the backspace button.
Dial in test:
Call the landline number
Hang up on the first ring
Wait 5/10 seconds
Call back
The control unit will answer
Enter your pin code within 3 seconds
You will hear a long beep
Now you can do the following functions:
Press 2 to arm
Press 3 to disarm
Press 5 to check if armed /Part armed or disarmed (Long single beep for armed, 3 beeps for part armed, 2 beeps for disarmed)
Please make sure the flashing circle on the left of the screen is next to the option you require before pressing tick.
The up and down arrows on the right of the screen are to navigate you through the menu options.
How do I turn off the confirmation/entry sound beeps from the siren?
Please see the images and instructions below:
Step 1
Press PR enter your pin code and press tick.
Step 2
Scroll down to devices and press tick.
Step 3
Scroll down to programme siren and press tick.
Step 4
Scroll down to “confirm off” and press tick.
Step 5
Then you’ll hear a beep on the siren and a beep on the panel – this means you won’t get any noises from the siren when you arm and disarm it! Scroll down to “entry sound off” and press tick – once selected the siren won’t echo the entry beeps
How do I perform a factory reset on the HSA6400?
Please see images below for instructions on how to perform a factory reset on the HSA 6400:
Step 1
Push the panel up from the bottom and lift it off the mounting plate.
Step 2
Then unplug the mains power.
Step 3
On the back of the panel remove the grey rubber cover, then turn the on/off switch to off using a pointed instrument.
Step 4
Hold the arrow up key on the panel whilst re-inserting the mains power, then you’ll hear a long beep at which point release the arrow up key.
Step 5
Then press tick and then the circle arrow. The screen should then say “set user code” if this does appear please repeat this process.
How do I add devices on my HSA 6400 Alarm?

Why is the LED flashing on my Key Pad when any key is pressed?
This is because the batteries are low. Please see instructions on how to change the batteries.
Enter PR pincode and tick, press circle arrow twice and it goes back to alarm off. You can now change batteries.
There are no lights on my Door Contact / Keypad after I have changed the batteries
Please ensure the battery is inserted in the correct manner, see the picture below.
Step 1
Go into your programme menu (blue menu button, then enter your pin code followed by the tick key), to prevent an alarm activation. Then continue to change the batteries.
How do I perform a soft reset on my control panel
Turn the mains power off and turn the backup battery off, your device memory will not be lost.
Step 1
Push the panel up from the bottom and lift it off the mounting plate.
Step 2
Then unplug the mains power.
Step 3
On the back of the panel remove the grey rubber cover, then turn the on/off switch to off using a pointed instrument.
Step 4
Plug the mains power back in and put it back onto the mounting plate and pull it down to clip it into position.
How do I remove devices on my HSA 6400 Alarm?

Step 1
To remove a device: Press PR enter your pincode and press tick.
Step 2
Scroll down to devices and press tick.
Step 3
Scroll down to remove device and press tick.
Step 4
Find the device you want to remove and press tick.
Step 5
Then it will ask you to confirm the device that you want to remove, press tick.
How do I change the batteries on my HSA 6400 alarm?

Step 1
Pres PR, enter pincode and press tick.
Step 2
Scroll down to devices and press tick.
Step 3
Scroll down to Program Siren and press tick.
Step 4
Scroll down to Siren Tamper Off and press tick.
Step 5
Change batteries on the siren. Then press the learn button a few times to dissipate the power, then leave for 5 minutes and turn the siren back on.
Step 6
Once batteries on the siren are changed, go back to the control panel. Pres PR, enter pincode and press tick.
Step 7
Scroll down to devices and press tick.
Step 8
Scroll down to Program Siren and press tick.
Step 9
Scroll down to Siren Tamper On and press tick to turn the siren tamper back on.
Step 10
Press the back / refresh button 3 times.
How long will the siren sound for when triggered?
As a default it is 3 minutes, you can amend this in the advanced setting in your programme menu.
The display keeps reverting back to time & date, when I have armed the system
This is a security feature of the system.
How do I part arm my HSA 6400 alarm using the keypad?

Can I ‘part arm’ my system, using the HOME button on the keypad?
Yes, this feature is available with this system.
Can I extend my entry and exit time on my HSA 6400 Alarm Kit?
Yes, this is done in the advanced settings menu on the control unit
Troubleshooting
My HSA 6400 Alarm panel is displaying ‘Alarm Alarm Alarm’ on my display
Please see image below for instructions and information:
Step 1
To clear the alarm message press the green disarm key.
Step 2
Enter your pincode and then keep pressing the tick button until the message goes off.
I have a 30 second beep and an amber light on my control unit
Please check the fault log as follows, press the PR button enter your PIN, then press tick, press tick on fault log and then use the up and down arrows to see what the log shows.
Step 1
Press PR enter your pincode and press tick.
Step 2
You should see fault log on the screen, press tick.
Step 3
Use the up and down arrows to see what it listed on there, fix the problem i.e. change the batteries or check the tamper and to clear the fault log down, press the circle arrow once and the screen will say clear fault display and then press tick.
Step 4
If it’s cleared the screen will say walk test and if it hasn’t cleared it will still say fault log on the screen.
My Alarm is beeping every 30 secs with an amber light

Press PR enter your pincode and press tick.
Step 2
You should see fault log on the screen, press tick.
Step 3
Use the up and down arrows to see what it listed on there, fix the problem i.e. change the batteries or check the tamper and to clear the fault log down, press the circle arrow once and the screen will say clear fault display and then press tick.
Step 4
If it’s cleared the screen will say walk test and if it hasn’t cleared it will still say fault log on the screen.
My Alarm goes off as soon as I open the door
Any device that is triggered when you open the door needs to be set to entry. This can be checked or changed in the edit devices menu.
Can I turn the warning beep off on my control panel?
Yes, you will need to go into the programme menu, advanced settings, scroll to warning beep and press the tick key, scroll to warning beep off and press the tick key.
Step 1
Press PR enter your pincode and press tick.
Step 2
Scroll down using the down arrow to advance settings and press tick.
Step 3
Scroll down to warning beep and press tick.
Step 4
Move the cursor to warning beep off and press tick.
Step 5
Press circle arrow two or three times until it says alarm off and the warning beep will stop.
Can I turn the warning beep off on my control panel?
For first-time installation check that the tamper spring is fully depressed. After initial installation, it could be:
A) A low battery warning. Please check your fault log in the control panel
B) The siren tamper may not be fully depressed
Please check that the siren tamper switch/spring is depressed to its fullest. Some packing may be required if the siren is mounted on an uneven surface.
My siren is making extra beeps when armed/disarmed
For first-time installation check that the tamper spring is fully depressed. After initial installation, it could be:
A) A low battery warning. Please check your fault log in the control panel
B) The siren tamper may not be fully depressed
Please check that the siren tamper switch/spring is depressed to its fullest. Some packing may be required if the siren is mounted on an uneven surface.
I want to part arm my system, what do I set the sensors to?
The sensors should be set to ‘home omit’ if you want to move around freely without setting off the alarm.
Step 1
To set device to home omit on control panel press PR and enter your pincode and press tick.
Step 2
Scroll down using the down arrow until you come to devices and press tick.
Step 3
Scroll down to edit device and press tick. Scroll to the device you want to change and press tick.
Step 4
Scroll down until you see home omit and press tick, then enter a name and press tick, then press tick again and that will take you back to the device list.
The display keeps reverting back to time & date, when I have armed the system
