Installing the Yale Access Module into your Conexis®

This article will help guide you through the steps to install the Yale Access Module into your Yale Conexis® Lock. 




NOTE: If you have already downloaded the Yale Home Application please select 'SET UP NEW DEVICE' and scan the QR code on the Yale Access Module and the follow below installation flow. 

Step-by-step installation guide

Step 1. Remove battery cover

Using a Phillips-head screwdriver, loosen the battery cover screw. Slide the cover away from the lock.

Step 2. Remove a battery

Remove the batteries from your lock to power it off. Wait approximately 10 seconds for the lock to fully power down.

Step 3. Remove Module Cover

Slide the module cover up to remove this and access the slot 

Step 4. Insert Module

Insert the Yale Access module into the slot in the module compartment. Make sure it is properly seated in the lock.  

Step 5. Replacing the batteries

Restore power to the lock by reinserting the batteries. The light on the front of the lock will flash blue and play a fanfare noise, once this has happened please proceed. 

Step 6. Replace the cover

You will need to re-register any key fobs or tags previously associated with your lock.

Step 7: Install Yale Home App

The Yale Access module comes with a QR code that can be used to set up the device in the Yale Home App. This code is included on the Yale Access Module and is helpful during setup. If you no longer have a QR code associated with the device, the serial number can be used during setup.

  1. Open the Yale Home App
  2. Select the menu in the top-left corner
  3. Select Set up a Device to access the QR code scanner
  4. Scan the code. If you are unable to scan it, select Can’t Scan the Code to set up with the Serial Number, which is the 10-digit number located on the sticker inside the battery cover. 
  5. Follow in-app instructions to complete setup steps.

Next Steps:

Once your module is setup, you will need to re-learn any cards, tags or mobile stickers you have, back to the lock. Please follow the process below when you are in Bluetooth range of your lock:

  • Open your Yale Home app and select your house.
  • Select the Guest List option along the bottom of the screen (the silhouette of a person).
  • Select Invite and then "Contactless Key Only".
  • Follow the onscreen instructions to add you Tag.

Optional Step:  Set up the Yale Connect Wi-Fi Bridge
Yale Connect Wi-Fi Bridge serves as a Wi-Fi bridge between our Servers and your Smart Lock so you can lock and unlock your Smart Lock remotely, right from your phone. With Yale Connect Wi-Fi Bridge, you can instantly let visitors into your home when you're not there. You will also require a Connect Wi-Fi Bridge if you want to control your Smart Lock with any partner integrations e.g. Alexa or Google Home.
