I’ve forgotten or need to change my Primary Code
You will need to complete the reset procedure to take the lock back to the default setting of ‘123456’ see the images below. Once completed please follow the instructions to set a new pin code.

Locate the black battery cover at the top of the inside door handle

Remove the battery cover
Step 3
Then remove the rear cover
Step 4
Now remove the cable
Step 5
Press both the I and P buttons at the same time and then place the batteries back in.

This has set the master code back to the default please insert code 123456

Press the hash button
Step 8
You now need to set a new master code. To do so press the number one button followed by the hash button

Enter your desired new master code up to 6 digits

To complete the master code setup press the hash button
All the lights are flashing on my keypad and it won’t allow me to enter
This is because the pin code has been entered incorrectly on multiple occasions. Please allow 3 minutes before trying again.
My Keypad is not working correctly
You need to perform a soft reset, to do so follow the steps below. A soft reset will not remove any memory so all of your pincodes, and key fobs will be maintained.
Step 1
Slide down the cover from the bottom of the outside door handle

Press the small black button between the connector points to perform a soft reset
How do I turn the silent mode on/off?
To turn the silent mode on or off on your Keyfree smart door lock please follow the instructions below.
Step 1
Touch the lock with one finger to wake it up
Step 2
Insert your master code/pin code
Step 3
Then press the hash button
Step 4
Press the number 8 button, followed by the hash button
Step 5
Press the number 1 button to place the Keyfree door lock into silent mode and 2 to place it into sound assisted mode

Press the hash button to complete the setup
How Do I Set a User Code?
To setup a user code on your Keyfree smart door lock please follow the steps shown below.
Step 1
Touch the lock with one finger to wake it up
Step 2
Insert your master code/pin code
Step 3
Then press the hash button
Step 4
Press the number 2 button, followed by the hash button
Step 5
Select a user slot between 1-20 and then press the hash button
Step 6
Now set a user code up between 4 and 12 digits long and press then hash button

Press the hash button again to complete the user code setup
How do I delete a user code?
To delete a user code from your Keyfree lock please follow the steps shown below.

Then press the hash button

Press the number 2 button, followed by the hash button

Press 2 and hash again

Select the slot the user code is currently paired with, this will be a number between 1-20

The batteries in my KeyFree Smart Door Lock are completely flat, how do I open my door?
Connect a 9-volt battery to the emergency power supply terminal. Press any button on the keypad, then enter your PIN code then press the enter key, to open. Or the manual key can be used.
My Key Fob is not registering
You may need to remove and re-insert the module in your keyless lock, to do so please follow the steps below and then try again to register the key fobs.

My key fob has been lost/stolen, can I remove it from my lock?
Yes. To remove a key fob from your Keyfree door lock please follow the steps below.

Then press the number 3 button, followed by the hash button
Step 5
Now press the number 2 button, followed by the hash button

Select the slot that the key fob was associated with - between 1-5

I keep hearing, ‘welcome to the Yale digital world’
Remove the battery cover and check that the batteries and module are inserted firmly.
My door is saying ‘lock open’ when I’ve locked it or it is saying ‘lock closed, securely locked’ when it’s open
The key cards and tags use a frequency of 13.56 mhz.
How do I activate passage mode?
Extra key credits can be purchased via the Conexis app. See instructions below.

How do I set a one day code?
Yes, however, the admin user has control over who has access to the door lock. They can give an unlimited number of people access via sharing a virtual Keys with them.
The Keyfree connected will not disengage using the code or fob
The Conexis L1 works with most multi-point locks on the market.
Please Note: The measurement between the centre of the cylinder and the centre of the door handle/spindle must be 92mm. The Thickness of your door must be between 44-77mm.

How do I connect to home automation?
Yes, if you have the Yale Module 2 fitted in your Conexis L1, and you have an alarm system from the Smart Home Range (SR-alarms).
To pair your module to a Yale Smart alarm:
Remove batteries from the lock
Insert the module and replace the batteries
Allow the lock to power up and wait for the lock to sound before proceeding.
Go into the Yale Smart Living Home app, Settings, Lock Settings, Add New Device
Add a new lock
Follow on screen instructions from the app
How do I know my door is locked?
Simply lift the handle and listen to the sound. Then test the handle to ensure the door is locked.
How do I close the Keyfree Smart Door lock?

To unlock the Conexis L1 via Twist and Go - First, press the Bluetooth button.

Then rotate your smartphone to open the door via the Twist and Go method.
How do I change my pin relock time?
The Conexis® L1 does have Z-wave certification. You would have to buy the Z Wave module 2 for this feature.
How do I disconnect my Keyfree door lock from a home automation system?
Virtual keys are a secure, encrypted Bluetooth Key that enables you to unlock your Conexis® L1 Smart Door lock via your phone. virtual keys can be shared with friends and family* *Yale Conexis® app must be downloaded on all users phones.
Where can I download the Conexis® L1 App?
The Conexis® L1 App can be downloaded from the IOS App Store & the Google Play Store by searching ‘Conexis L1’. You must be a UK or Irish resident to be able to download this app.
How do I delete a one day code from a Keyfree Smart Door Lock?
Yes, they can be paired with up to 7 locks.
How do I change my keyfob relock time?
Either the plug has been disconnected or the wires have been pinched during installation. The alarm can be cancelled by holding the ‘R’ button as the lock is started. Re-check connections and wiring.
What is the maximum number of Keyfobs that I can add on to my Keyfree?
The Conexis® L1 does work with Samsung Smarthings. The integration can be achieved by purchasing a Z wave module 2.
How many pincodes can I have on my Keyfree connected?
Credentials can be added via the Yale Conexis® L1 App.

How do I activate passage mode?
To activate passage mode, remove the battery cover from the inside door handle and press the P button.
How do I activate child safety mode?
To activate the child safety mode on your Keyfree smart door lock, remove the battery cover from the inside door handle and hold down the P button for 5 seconds.
How many pincodes can I have on my Keyfree connected?
You will have one primary code and can have up to twenty pin codes.
What is the maximum number of Keyfobs that I can add on to my Keyfree?
5 keyfobs is the maximum number of fobs that can be added to the Keyfree Door Lock.
What batteries does my lock use and how long will they last?
The product uses four alkaline AA batteries. The batteries will last for approximately 1 year, based on the lock being used 10 times a day.
Is my Keyfree Lock ‘Connected’?
Please press the ‘I’ button on the inside of the battery compartment, if you get a series of beeps it is the ‘connected’ model, if you get a voice command, it is the original ‘non-connected’ Keyfree model.

Remove the battery cover and press the I button, if you hear a series of beeps then you have the connected model if you hear a voice command you have the original non-connected model
