Getting Started
How do I set the PIN code on my Premium Safe?
To set the code successfully, press the ‘ENTER’ key and ‘3’ simultaneously. It is easiest to first press and hold down the ‘ENTER’ button then press ‘3’ with your other hand. The ’SET CODE’ message will appear on the LCD screen, and you can go ahead and set the code in the normal manner.
How do I set my user code?
Please use the manual override key to open the safe and set the desired code, by pressing the ‘enter’ and ‘key’ buttons on the safe.
Where can I find my key number?
This is a long serial number, which can be found underneath the ledge of the keypad on a white label. The format of the code is ‘POXXX…’ and there may additionally be a ‘JK’ code as well on a separate white label.
Basic Functionality
How do I turn the sound on/off?
You need to press and hold ‘ENTER’ whilst simultaneously pressing ‘2’ to change this setting.
Is it possible to hide the digits when I’m entering my user code?
You need to press and hold ‘ENTER’ whilst simultaneously pressing ‘1’ to change this setting. If display shows ‘dp code’ then the code will be visible in the display when a code is entered. If it shows ‘dp’ no input digits will be visible in the display when a code is entered. Please refer to the Yale installation manual for further information.
Troubleshooting
I can’t set my code; I simply get the ‘ERROR’ message on the screen. Why is this?
To set the code successfully, press the ‘ENTER’ key and ‘3’ simultaneously. It is easiest to first press and hold down the ‘ENTER’ button then press ‘3’ with your other hand. The ’SET CODE’ message will appear on the LCD screen, and you can go ahead and set the code in the correct manner.
The safe is not accepting my new code, what can I do?
Please make sure you are completing the set code procedure until it displays ‘good’, by pressing ENTER and ‘3’ simultaneously.
I cannot lock my safe.
Please remember that if you have opened the safe with the key, you also have to lock it with the key, from then on using the code as usual. If the safe has been opened by the electronic (code) method, that to lock the safe door, you need to press the ‘ENTER’ and ‘key’ to electronically secure the safe.
What happens if I lock my keys in the safe or I lose my keys?
Unfortunately you will need to force entry and replace the safe.
