Are the cameras wireless?
Yale WIFI cameras do not require a wire to connect it to the DVR, these cameras do however need to be plugged into a power source (these are not battery powered). Only for the first setup, you need to connect the cameras to the router using the ethernet cable. Once the setup is completed you can use the cameras with the wifi connection.
Does the DVR have built-in WiFi?
No, you have to connect this directly to the router using an Ethernet cable. However, you can use wifi extenders with an embedded Ethernet port to get an access point closer to your DVR.
Can I link my Yale alarm and Yale CCTV kit together?
The Yale View App (Android / iOS) can be linked to the Yale Home App (Android / iOS) for quick access to your camera feed when an alarm event happens. When you download and create an account on Yale View App, a link button will be automatically be created in your Yale Home App.
How many wired cameras can I have on my system in total?
This depends on what CCTV system you have.

Does Yale produce cameras with audio?
No, although the DVR does supports audio input, to allow the addition of microphones.

How do I use the Yale mouse with Smart WiFi and Wired Systems?
Left Click – Selects the item covered by the mouse pointer
Right Click – Back or escape function allows you to go back to the previous menu or screen
Scroll Wheel – This allows you to flick through the cameras on full screen.
Left-Clicking inside text box on the DVR screens will enable the keyboard to write.

How do I change the sensitivity on the DVR?
In main menu > system > setting > event > motion detect > ‘set’ > move mouse to top of screen to reveal the option…
Select ‘red’ for region 1, multiple regions can be set – yellow, blue, green, with different sensitivity /threshold settings as required.
What is the longest Camera cable you have?
You can have 30 metres of Yale BNC cable, or up to 100 metres of continuous shielded cable.
Can I add additional WiFi cameras to my system?
The system is designed to support up to 2 wifi cameras. All wired channels can also be replaced by IP channels.
