The installation service covers up to 13 alarm accessories (excluding the powered siren), and the product must be purchased before installation. Please note that powered sirens can only be installed at a maximum height of 3 metres.

How do I install my new Yale Sync Smart Home Alarm 6 Piece Kit
Please follow the ‘quick start guide’ included in your alarm kit. All accessories within the alarm kit are pre-linked and wire-free, making installation quick and simple. You will need to download the Smart Living Alarm App to create an account and configure your alarm settings. Alternatively, you can watch our ‘how to install’ tutorial here

Does the Yale Sync Smart Home Alarm work with any other devices?
Yes. The Sync Smart Home Alarm 6 Piece Kit is now Amazon Alexa certified, which means it works seamlessly with Alexa. You can ask Alexa to fully arm your home, part-arm areas or give you a status update of your home security.
You can also integrate Philips Hue lighting with your Yale smart alarm system, giving you the power of both a visual and audible deterrent. In the event of an alarm activation, the Philips Hue lights will flash red, working to startle the intruder as well as alerting neighbouring properties and passers-by of a disturbance.
What happens if my internet goes down?
Your alarm will remain in the same state as it was before the connectivity issues. The communication between your Yale Smart Hub and devices is on a wireless frequency that does not rely on an internet connection, so the system will continue to operate as normal however, you would need to arm or disarm your system via a physical accessory such as a keypad or a key fob until the internet connection is reconnected. Please note that without an internet connection to your Yale Smart Hub, you will not be able to operate the alarm via the Yale Smart Living Alarm App.
Can I part arm my Yale Sync Smart Home Alarm?
Yes. You can configure the ‘part-arm’ settings in the Yale Smart Living Alarm App so that specific devices will not set off the alarm when in part-arm mode. You have full control so you can freely change these settings if required at any time, without the need to move your accessories.
How often will I have to change the batteries in my Yale Sync Smart Home Alarm?
The batteries should last for approximately 18 to 24 months. To change the batteries in your accessories, go to the Yale Smart Living Home App, select the device that needs new batteries and follow the battery change instructions.
