Security but Smarter: Here are the many ways you can control your Yale Smart Security Ecosystem products
One of the many notable benefits of a fully integrated smart home is the ability to monitor and control your smart devices from anywhere within your home and around the world. Whether you're securing your home, checking in on your property, or simply unlocking the front door for a guest, the Yale Smart Security Ecosystem makes it possible with ease.
App Control
App-based smart home technology is dominating smart home integration. When you’re away from home, or even relaxing inside your home, your mobile phone is always with you, so it’s a no-brainer to control your home security with the press of a button using an app.
The Yale Home app gives you complete control over your entire Yale Smart Security Ecosystem, through an easy-to-navigate dashboard. Multi-house support is also available within the app, allowing you to control devices across multiple properties using a single account for smarter, more efficient monitoring.
Whether it’s locking your door, arming your alarm, viewing live camera feeds, or receiving alerts when someone is at your door, the app keeps you connected in real time. The intuitive interface also allows you to customize settings, create virtual keys or codes for trusted individuals, and manage your entire security system with ease—putting you in complete control of your home’s safety.
The entire Yale Smart Security Ecosystem can be controlled and operated on your phone or smartwatch. This means you can eliminate the need for keys and open your door remotely using a smart device and Linus® L2. If you were away from home and a friend needed access to your home, you could use your phone to grant them access, you could also check your door’s lock status, see who has entered or exited your home in the detailed activity log or open your door as you approach using just your smart device.
Voice Command
Just say the word to lock or unlock your door, check your security system status, or arm and disarm alarms. This solution offers a hands-free way to operate devices if your hands are full, if you’re juggling multiple household tasks at once, or if you are in the middle of other things when the doorbell rings
The Yale Smart Security Ecosystem integrates with popular smart home assistants from popular smart brands including Amazon Alexa and Google Home to provide you with hands-free control over your security. For example, using your screen-enabled voice assistant, when your smart doorbell rings you can see who is at the door and interact with them thanks to the two-way audio feature. If a trusted guest has arrived, you can then unlock the door with your voice and our Linus® Smart Lock L2, to let them in without interrupting the flow of your tasks.
Keypad and Other Options
These aren’t the only ways to control your Yale Home Security! Our Smart Security Ecosystem features a variety of access and control options to suit all your needs including keypads, fobs and more.
You have the most variety with smart locks like Linus® L2. For families with children or who don’t wish to rely on apps and smartphones the Yale Smart Keypad 2 - Fingerprint allows you to open your door using your fingerprint or a code set by you. Accessories like the Yale Dot® also offer convenient access solutions. With Linus® L2, you can tap the Yale Dot® with your phone to unlock or lock the door. For example, you can place a Yale Dot® by your door or on the stairwell and open the lock as you arrive at your home or on your floor for even more convenience.
There are also a variety of control options for your Yale Smart Alarm. The alarm will automatically disarm when your door is unlocked using Linus® L2, but can also be armed and disarmed using our smart keypad accessory. A fob and button accessory are also available to allow for arming from anywhere within the house, without the need to rely on an app.
Smart Home Platforms
With the Yale Smart Security Ecosystem, you won’t only have control over your Yale devices, but also for the smart home platforms of trusted Yale partners.
Yale has designed the ecosystem to be open for interoperability with other brands to improve the user experience. These partnerships cover Smart Home, Smart Hosting, and Video Intercoms with partners like Samsung SmartThings, Homey, Operto, Doorbird and voice assistants such as Google Home and Amazon Alexa, just to name a few. For example, with Linus® L2, users can trigger actions like turning off lights or turning down thermostats when they are leaving home once their door locks, and turning each system back on as soon as their door unlocks to better conserve energy.
Enjoy smarter security made simple with the Yale Smart Security Ecosystem and control your smart home in a way that best suits you.
