What happens if my internet goes down?
Conexis L1 Smart Lock
You can still operate your Conexis L1 Smart Lock via the App, providing you are standing in front of the door.
This is because the smart door lock uses Bluetooth to communicate with your mobile device, so does not solely rely on Wi-Fi connectivity.
Keyless Connected Smart Lock
Should your internet connectivity go down, you can still operate your Keyless Connected Smart Lock via the PIN code, key card, key tag or remote fob.
Linus Smart Lock
You can still operate your Linus Smart Lock via the App, providing you are standing in front of the door.
This is because the smart door lock uses Bluetooth, so does not solely rely on Wi-Fi connectivity. Alternatively, you can use the key and thumb override to gain access to the property.
What happens if the batteries run flat?
Conexis L1 Smart Lock
You will be alerted in advance if the batteries are running low. This will give you the opportunity to replace them before they run out of charge.
Should the batteries be drained, there is a 9v battery connection port on the external side of the Conexis L1 Smart Lock, which can be used to power the lock to gain entry.
Keyless Connected Smart Lock
You will be alerted in advance if the batteries are running low. This will give you the opportunity to replace them before they run out of charge.
Should the batteries be drained, there is a 9v battery connection port on the bottom of the device, which can be used to power the lock to gain entry.
Linus Smart Lock
The Yale Home App will notify you in advance if the batteries are running low (when the batteries are at 25%), giving you an opportunity to replace them before they run out of charge.
Should the battery be completely flat, the lock can still be opened using the key and thumb override.
What happens if I lose my phone?
Conexis L1 Smart Lock
Should you lose your mobile phone, the Conexis L1 Smart Lock can be unlocked via key tags, key cards or phone tags.
Alternatively, you can log into your account using a friend or family member's phone to withdraw access from the lost phone and gain entry.
Keyless Connected Smart Lock
The Keyless Connected Smart Lock does not rely on your mobile phone to grant entry. Instead, you can use the keypad to access your property.
Linus Smart Lock
If you have lost your mobile phone, entry can still be gained using the key override or keypad accessory.
You can also log into your account using a friend or family member's phone to withdraw access from the lost phone and gain entry.
