Service Update


As part of our ongoing mission to provide our customers with the highest possible standard of home security we have taken the decision to discontinue some of our older alarm systems.

You have been sent an email because we believe that you are the owner of one of the discontinued alarm systems, this means that: 

  • We will end sales of these products from June 2025.
  • We will no longer develop new hardware or firmware features for these products from 30th June 2025.
  • We will no longer offer software fixes or any security updates for these products after the 31st May 2027.
  • We will no longer be offering customer support for these products from 31st May 2029.
  • The Yale Alarm app is currently not affected by these changes until further notice.

Is my alarm no longer supported?

Alarms with the hub types below will no longer be supported with new accessories or features. Check your Alarm Hub to find if this affects you:

  • SR-HUG
  • EF-IP BOX

I want to expand my Alarm system after April 2025. What can I do next?

Our Smart Alarm range offers protection for your home with additional accessories. Please note, these accessories are not compatible with your existing alarm system, so you will need to purchase a new Alarm hub or Starter Kit.

  • How do I check which alarm system I have?

    You can check the product label on your Alarm Hub.
  • Why did I receive this service email?

    You received this email as from our system we believe you are the owner of one of the affected alarm ranges. 
  • Will my Yale Alarm stop working?

    No, Your Yale Alarm will still work and there are no changes to functionality.

  • Will I be able to buy additional accessories or replace my current accessories.

    No, we will not be supplying these products from June 2025. There may still be stock within certain retailers after this point, but it is not guaranteed.
  • Will I benefit from new features or improvements for my current alarm system?

    No, you will not receive any updates or feature improvements from 30th June 2025. 
  • Are there any changes to my alarm following this service email?

    No, there are no changes to your current alarm system and it will continue to operate as normal.
  • Do I need to do anything to keep my current alarm working following this service email?

    No, there is no action needed from your side, your current alarm will continue to work as it always has.
  • Will my home be left unsecure?

    No, your home will not be left unsecure following this service email. Your current alarm system will continue to work, there are no changes to functionality.
  • Will my Yale Alarm App keep working?

    Yes, the Yale Alarm app will continue to work and can be used to control your current alarm, if it is an app-controlled alarm.
