With a range of features such as Cloud Recording and AI Motion Detection for our Smart Cameras and Video Doorbell, as well as Cellular Backup, Automated Call Alerts, and 24/7 Professional Monitoring* provided by a manned security service for our Smart Alarm, our Yale Home app Subscription Service will take your security to the next level.

Camera Plan

The Camera Plan includes Cloud Recording, securely saving recorded videos on a remote cloud server for a period of 30 days. Additionally, it offers Advanced AI Motion Detection, capable of instantly distinguishing between human, pet, and vehicle movement, and even notifying you when a package is delivered*. 

Conveniently control and monitor your cameras from wherever you are, all through the Yale Home app.

Alarm Plan

The Alarm Plan includes 4G LTE Cellular Backup, guaranteeing fast, stable, and uninterrupted alarm service, even if your Wi-Fi connection goes down.

Additionally, you can conveniently control and monitor your Smart Alarm using the Yale Home app from anywhere in the world with your smartphone. 

Secure Plan

This plan offers an Automated Call Alert feature, allowing you to designate up to three people to receive an automated phone call in the event of an alarm activation.

Additionally, it includes 4G LTE Cellular Backup to ensure you receive fast, stable, and uninterrupted alarm service, even if your Wi-Fi goes down. You'll also benefit from Cloud Recording, which safely stores the video captured on all your cameras on a remote Cloud Server for 30 days. Finally, the plan features Advanced AI Motion Detection and more. 

Secure Pro Plan

Our most comprehensive plan offers 24/7 Professional Monitoring* provided by a manned security service. In the event of an alarm alert, a live feed from your smart cameras can be briefly accessed by a professional monitoring operator, who will then determine the appropriate response.

To ensure uninterrupted protection, the plan includes 4G LTE Cellular Backup, which guarantees fast and stable smart alarm service, even in the absence of Wi-Fi. It also includes Cloud Recording for all smart cameras in your home, Advanced AI Motion Detection, and many other valuable features.

  • What does the Yale Home app Subscription Service include?

    If you already have a compatible smart security product installed and operational, the Subscription Service offers enhanced functionalities through various packages. If you decide to end your subscription, the system will revert to the original free-tier service.
  • What are the benefits of the Subscription Service?

    Plans such as Secure Pro offer peace of mind with monitoring and protection for your home or business. They also serve as a deterrent for burglars and provide cloud video evidence in case of any incidents.
  • How does Professional Monitoring* work on Secure Pro Plan?

    Professional Monitoring involves trained professionals who monitor your security system 24/7. If an alarm is triggered, they will respond by contacting the keyholders, police (if criminal behaviour is identified on cameras) or if available, guard response (upon request by customer).

  • Can I install the smart security devices myself?

    Yes, our smart security devices are fully DIY and you can install and maintain your own security system. 

  • What happens if the power goes out or the internet is down?

    Our Smart Alarm Hub is designed to provide you with uninterrupted service even during power outages, thanks to its backup batteries. Moreover, in case of an internet disruption, if you're part of our Subscription Service, the hub seamlessly switches to its built-in 4G connection to keep you connected.

    However, please note that our Smart Indoor and Outdoor Cameras, as well as the Smart Video Doorbell, do not have backup internet capabilities. Consequently, they won't be able to maintain their connection to the outside world in such situations.

  • What happens if my smart security devices are damaged or stolen?

    If you need to replace your smart security devices, you will need to cancel your current subscription and then resubscribe. The Subscription Service is associated with the physical smart security devices in use.

  • Can I add more smart security devices to my Yale Home app Subscription Service?

    As you install more smart security devices, you can add them to your Yale Home app Subscription Service.

  • What happens if I move to a new location?

    You will need to uninstall your smart security devices and unsubscribe from all services. Once you have moved, create a new house in the Yale Home app and reinstall your smart security devices again in the new house. You can then set up new subscription. Please note that all recordings and records associated with the old subscription will be deleted.

  • Can I receive alerts on my phone if an alarm is triggered?

    Only Secure or Secure Pro will trigger calls to your phone. Otherwise, you will receive Yale Home app push notification and email notifications when the alarm is triggered.

Contractual and Billing

  • Can I cancel my subscription plan at any time?

    Our Subscription Service is billed on a monthly basis and can be cancelled anytime. If you choose to cancel, the service will remain active for the current month and terminate at the end of that month. Please note that any recordings associated with the system will be deleted upon service cancellation
  • What should I do if my payment was declined?

    If your payment was declined, please reach out to our customer service for assistance.
  • Can I change my payment method?

    Of course, you can change the payment method within the Yale Home app at any time.
  • What happens if a recurring payment is rejected?

    A rejected payment will lead to the termination of your subscription plan. Recordings and services will be deleted at the end of the monthly/annual cycle. 
  • How do I update my billing information?

    You can change the billing information in the Yale Home app.
  • Can I make a payment over the phone?

    No, unfortunately, all payments must be made through the Yale Home app.
  • What should I do if I am having trouble making a payment?

    If you encounter any difficulties with making a payment, please reach out to our customer service for assistance.
  • What happens if my subscription plan is cancelled due to payment issues?

    Your recordings will be deleted and service terminated.
  • What would happen when I cancel my subscription plan?

    When a subscription plan is cancelled, no further payments will be processed, and the service will terminate at the end of the monthly/annual cycle.
  • How can I change the billing name and billing email address (where the invoice and subscription communications will be sent)?

    The billing name and billing email address match the Yale Home app account. You can modify this information in the app's User settings by selecting the "Name" and "Update Email" options.
