Great News!
Your door is compatible with Linus® L2.
However, if you would like to increase your security level or maintain the use of a physical key, we recommend the Yale Platinum 3 Star Thumbturn Cylinder for maximum security and ease of fitting.
We also recommend the Linus® Pull Escutcheon, which is specifically designed and created to work with the Linus® Smart Lock L2. It offers a modern, streamlined look to seamlessly integrate Linus® Smart Lock L2 with your front door.
Linus® L2 easily hooks onto the Escutcheon and locks into position, ensuring it stays firmly attached even if the door is slammed shut.

What is a virtual key?
You can send virtual keys so that friends and family members can gain access to your home, even if you are not around. Once you have granted access to a user, you can manage who can enter your property by disabling or deleting users through the Yale Conexis L1 or Home App. Virtual keys can be scheduled or made permanent for ultimate control of your home.
Your Conexis L1 Account comes with 5 key credits. Additional key credits can be purchased through the App from App Store or Google Play.
What is a ‘module’, and do I need one for my keyless door lock?
By installing either a Sync Module, Access Module and Wi-Fi Bridge or Z-Wave Module 2 into your digital door lock, this creates a link between your smart lock and your smartphone. You are therefore able to control your lock from anywhere in the world and receive real-time notifications, in the event that the door is ever unlocked unexpectedly. You will also be able to use leading voice assistants like Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa to unlock your door and check-in on the status of it. Please note, voice assistants will not be able to lock the door for you as the Conexis L1 has ‘lift-to-lock’ technology and will require manual assistance.
In terms of needing a module in your digital door lock, it’s completely up to you. If you are looking to create a complete home automation system, then a module might be a good option for you. This smart lock does not rely on Wi-Fi, so you will still be able to use the App to lock and unlock your front door, along with any other compatible credentials, as the lock uses Bluetooth to communicate with your mobile device. To find out what module is right for you, visit our Smart Lock Accessories page here.
What happens if my internet goes down?
Should your internet connectivity go down, you can still operate your Conexis L1 Smart Lock via the App, providing you are standing in front of the door. This is because the smart door lock uses Bluetooth to communicate with your mobile device, so does not solely rely on Wi-Fi connectivity.
How do I know if the Conexis L1 Smart Lock in Black is the right lock for my door?
The Conexis L1 Smart Lock is compatible with most UK ‘lift to lock’ multi-point locks, as the smart door lock simply replaces your existing cylinder and handles. A 92mm centre multi-point door lock type and between 44-70mm door thickness is required.

What happens if the batteries run flat?
You will be alerted in advance if the batteries are running low. This will give you the opportunity to replace them before they run out of charge. Should the batteries be drained, there is a 9v battery connection port on the external side of the Conexis L1 Smart Lock, which can be used to power the lock to gain entry using one of your credentials to your property – via your Yale Virtual Key, Key Tag, Key Card or Phone Tag.
In the event that you have had to gain access to the entry via the 9v battery override, you will be required to replace your current batteries with 4 x AA alkaline batteries. It is not possible to use rechargeable batteries with the Conexis L1 Smart Lock in Black as rechargeable batteries have a lower voltage.
What is the battery life of the Conexis L1 Smart Lock in Black?
Based on average usage, the battery life is expected to last for approximately 1-year. The smart lock will play an audible tune as a ‘low battery’ warning when the batteries are approaching expiration. To check the current battery level, this can be found under the ‘my locks’ section of the App.
Is this smart door lock as secure as a traditional lock?
Yes. The Yale Conexis L1 Smart Lock in Black meets the latest BSI IoT Kitemark. To achieve this new standard, the lock has undergone rigorous testing including quality, durability and physical attack testing. It has also undergone electronic manipulation and assessments, designed to test the electronic security of the smart lock to ensure it’s secure against any advanced hacking methods.
Fun Fact: The Yale Conexis L1 Smart Lock was the very first lock to be British Kitemark approved.
