Everyday Use

    Can my existing Linus L2 use Matter?

    To use your Linus L2 with Matter, the firmware on your Linus L2 must be 2.0.20 or above and Yale Home App firmware version 2024.11.0 or above.

    Will I still need a Smart Hub or Yale Connect Wi-Fi Bridge?

    The only bridge or Hub required is from the partner integration. If you are connecting your Linus L2 to a Matter partner integration, you must use the Linus L2's built-in WiFi.

    Could I use Matter to remotely control my device?

    Once your Linus L2 is connected to your preferred Smart Home App (Alexa, Google Home etc), you can lock and unlock your Linus L2 and check lock status or battery state.

Troubleshooting

    How do I troubleshoot Matter on Linus L2?

    If the device fails to set up Matter in any of the apps:

    1. Reboot the device by removing and inserting the battery of the Linus L2
    2. Check to see if reboot resolves the failure if not proceed to step 3
    3. Navigate to Matter settings in Yale Home
    4. Disconnect Matter
    5. Navigate to Matter settings in Yale Home
    6. Enable Matter

    The update and restart of all components help establish a stable connection.
